NTPC Korba Advances Girl Empowerment Mission; Medical Screening of 142 Participants Completed

NTPC Korba continues to reinforce its commitment to social responsibility and inclusive development through its Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM), an initiative aimed at empowering young girls through education, awareness, and holistic development.

As part of the ongoing programme, a significant milestone was achieved on April 16, 2026, with the successful completion of medical examinations for 142 participants out of a total of 156 enrolled under the mission. The medical screening is a crucial component, ensuring the health and well-being of all participants as they embark on this transformative journey.

The outreach of the programme has been extensive, covering 36 schools in and around the Korba region. This wide participation reflects the growing impact and acceptance of the initiative among local communities.

The Girl Empowerment Mission at NTPC Korba is designed to nurture confidence, leadership qualities, and essential life skills among young girls. It also promotes awareness on key issues such as health, education, and social development. Through structured activities, mentoring sessions, and interactive learning modules, the programme aims to build a strong foundation for the participants’ future.

NTPC Korba’s continued efforts underscore its dedication to empowering the next generation and contributing meaningfully to community development. The initiative stands as a testament to NTPC’s vision of fostering inclusive growth and creating a positive societal impact.
